The Seven Deadly Gins

from Gekkota Arts

A Gin Soaked Journey Through Sin

Join our friendly bartender on a gin-soaked journey through sin, and wet your whistle with a Grapes of Wrath or a Triple X Slammer. Seven shots of new writing from a Buxton Fringe Award-nominated company. Technological tiffs and funeral feuds - raise your glass to an anthology of mixology.

Gekkota Arts presents the premier of “The 7 Deadly Gins”, a modern take on the 7 deadly sins, devised by the company and then scripted by Ciaran Lindley to create an immersive theatre experience.

Have your ID at the ready to get past the bouncers and find your seat in the hottest new gin bar in town.

Hosted by our observant bartender, join him as he witnesses all that it is to be a human, and a sinner.

Gekkota Arts are thrilled to be returning to the Buxton Fringe Festival (4th-22nd July 2023). They performed as part of the Buxton Fringe Festival in 2016  with their original production 'Top Table' written by Richard Stone, where the audience were wedding guests at a heart-warming, hilarious and ultimately disastrous wedding.

‘It was during the monologues that the outstanding talent of these young people became evident.’

‘Despite these moments of pathos, there was also ample to make you laugh out loud, both through the dialogue and the physical comedy.’

‘Gekkota Arts demonstrated a mature understanding of what is required to bring a character to life.’

‘The entertaining exploits of the supporting cast, including the scene-stealing dancing of a guest in a black mini-dress and the reluctant swaying of another, having been dragged onto dance by the mother of the groom.’

Gekkota Arts was formed in 2014, and their aim is to produce high quality performances of new and existing works.

Past productions include Arts council funded projects 'Written in Stone' and 'Not Words '; 'Twelfth Pint,' which was an adaptation of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, and Animal Farm, which was their own adaptation from the book by George Orwell.
